A skin-awakening primer that instantly reduces the signs of a bad skin day to leave the complexion fresh, awake, and hydrated.

BECCA FIRST LIGHT PRIMING FILTER 30ML

Awaken and refresh the skin with this rejuvenating primer from BECCA. The First Light Priming Filter erases skin concerns such as dullness and imperfections by using cool, violet light particles that impart a luminous and perfecting finish onto the skin. It's ultra-hydrating, so those with skin on the dry side will absolutely love the formula of this primer. Ingredients such as fresh spring water, prickly pear flower and sodium hyaluronate help to energise the skin and retain moisture for a nourished look and feel. Notes of ginger and citrus help to awaken and liven up the skin.

Plus, don't be put off by the purple hue of this primer--although it looks violet, once blended out it will be sheer on the skin. Find out more about this purple primer on the RY Ontrend Blog here

You may remember the previous primer from BECCA, the Backlight Priming Filter, which is all about creating a perfect base for makeup with soft focus effect. There’s there a new filter joining the line, this one is First Light and if you ever think your skin gets a little dull and needs a bit of light, then this is one to check out.

So when you pump this out it looks bright violet, however, it blends into the skin entirely sheer imparting brightness and juiciness! You simply apply after your skincare and before makeup, and it can also be used alone on makeup-free days.

It gives a very natural looking radiance and feels cooling and comfortable on the skin. My foundation went on very easily on top of this and I found I needed to use a little less. Lovely!

O-M-G this stuff is AMAZING. Now of course as with most if not all things beauty, individual results will vary, but this really took my skin to some next levels. I’d also say a little goes a long way if you have oily skin like mine—the dewy look can get greasy on us really quickly if we’re not well equipped. The look I got from using BECCA First Light Priming Filter was gorgeous, but it needed to be controlled way more than what I typically need to do with my makeup.

To manage the amount of blotting I’d use less product and a foundation with a matte finish on oily skin like mine—you’ll likely still need to blot but not as much. If you have normal or dry skin, you likely won’t have these issues.

I really love the BECCA First Light Priming Filter. I'd only use it when I want a particularly dewy look.
