It’s not often that skincare comes across our desk that is both highly active AND affordable but DECIEM have nailed both with their latest launch: The Ordinary. The range is pumped full with your favourite active ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid, Lactic Acid, Retinol, Magnesium & Niacinamide – just to name a few. With nothing over $20 in the whole range – this is cult skincare you should be using.
Cult Skincare You Should Be Using
DECIEM has a reputation for doing things differently – they’ve created some of our much loved products of 2016 from brands such as NIOD, Hylamide & Hand Chemistry that focus on advanced, functional beauty, and the latest range The Ordinary breaks through traditional skincare rules. The Ordinary offers familiar, effective clinical technologies that hope to create a conversation around honest pricing for skincare.
The Ordinary range is split into 5 categories – Vitamins and Retinoids, Direct Acids, Hydrators and Oils, More Molecules & Colours (yet to be released). Below is a table that outlines the products from the range, formulation type, where in your skincare routine you should use, any conflicting products and time of use to help you better understand The Ordinary

Best Selling The Ordinary Products
If you still don’t know where to start – try using our best selling The Ordinary first. With products as little as $8 – what have you got to lose?
1. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 $12.90
Not your traditional Hyaluronic Acid. You might not know but the natural function of HA is NOT to boost skin hydration, as many HA products claim. Instead, HA can sometimes sit on top of the skin, too big to penetrate and ends up drawing moisture out of the skin. The Ordinary HA combines three forms of HA with varying molecular weights, as well as a HA cross polymer, to offer multi-depth hydration and visible plumping without drawing water out of the skin.
Keep your skin protected and well hydrated with natural moisturising factors including multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid.
Niacinamide or Vitamin B3 reduces skin blemishes and congestion. The Ordinary wants to be honest by saying that Niacinamide is NOT an acne treatment – it will just reduce the appearance of blemishes. Try using Benzoyl Peroxide to eliminate acne.
All DECIEM products are manufactured in house in our own GMP-compliant factory licensed by Health Canada and are not tested on animals.
