How To

Emma Watson’s Best Beauty Look

No matter if you’re a die hard Harry Potter fan, or perhaps a more recent Emma Watson admirer from her pro-feminism work and general gorgeous aura – there’s no getting around the grace and elegance this star exudes.

Known for her effortless, natural beauty and stance on eco-friendly/ sustainable products – Emma Watson is a true style icon. No where has this been more apparent then in the recent premiere of Beauty and the Beast which Watson stars in as Belle.

The popular disney movie is getting a total makeover with Belle as the intelligent inventor who is outcast from society and forced into enslavement of The Beast. The movie is generating tonnes of press and articles around Emma Watson herself including her full beauty routine as told to Into The Gloss. Read that here.

While we’ve definitely picked up some tips and tricks of the trade we wanted to focus on Emma Watson’s Best Beauty Look – from the recent premiere of Beauty and the Beast.

Emma Watson’s Best Beauty Look

Stunning. The best part about it is you can achieve the same look by yourself at home!

How:

1. Base

As told to Into The Gloss, Watson is now steering clear of heavy bases to let her freckles shine through. “When we were filming Beauty and the Beast, I insisted on keeping my freckles as a part of the movie. There are so many young girls who are going through puberty who really hate having them, so I felt the need to say that I have them and that I think the look of natural skin is beautiful. I didn’t want to get blanked out!” And shine they do! Achieve the a glowy natural base with a brightening primer such as Becca Backlit Priming Filter then go in with Jane Iredale Dream Tint – a brand Watson loves as it is mineral and vegan. Dream Tint has a nice creamy coverage that still allows your beauty to shine through.

2. Cheeks

Watson loves a cream blush that she can apply with fingers, but I also detect a hint of bronzer to give that touch of definition to her fine face. Try theBalm’s Bahama Mama bronzer with a light hand (this thing is pigmented) and theBalm Instain Blush in Argyle to achieve the same look – theBalm is a high quality, affordable, cruelty free brand.

3. Brows

I’m assuming since she was on the set of Harry Potter from age 10 Emma Watson probably had some great makeup artist tell her through her teen years what to do and what not to do with her brows. I’m guessing she didn’t over wax and over pluck them like the rest of us born in 90s did (guilty). Now with the great range of brow products on the market we can at least try and mimic Watson’s beautifully formed brows. Use Poni Cosmetics Brow Magic Eye Brow Pencil to fill in any sparse areas then take Jane Iredale Purebrow Gel in whichever colour suits you to keep in place. This is another sworn favourite of Watson’s.

4. Eyes

The most exciting part of this look definitely has to be that negative space eye liner. Not for the faint hearted (I can’t even do a normal win) but we know the right product if you’re willing to try. Watson says “Finding a good, natural eyeliner took me like, six months, but I found one! Jane Iredale does an amazing liquid eyeliner and she has one in a dark brown, which I prefer to black on my skintone.” Jane Iredale Liquid Eyeliner in Black/ Brown available here.

5. Lip

Watson is partial to a lip and cheek stain that can be easily applied and stays all day. The Becca Beach Tint in Dragonfruit will create a similar sheer peachy pink that she’s rocking above.

Emma Watson

Forever humble, forever graceful.
