Bronzing sounds like a relatively easy thing to achieve with bronzer and some form of make-up brush. Voilà! Look at my glowy skin. However now with the emphasis put on things like; ‘Only apply to the shadows of your face’, ‘Where do the shadows hit again?’ ‘Am I too orange?’ ‘Can you even see my bronzer?’ it can sometimes be impossible to even know where to begin. Forget the word contouring, shadows, high points, low points, all of it. If you have the right shade for your skin tone, you can lightly dust the stuff all over your face and look like a bronzed goddess who’s permanently on holiday – without the fuss.

1. Light, rosy face

Think more about how your skin looks like when it’s flushed by the sun. Don’t kid yourself – we’re not all olive Jess Harts with sun kissed shadows. If you are fair and you go out in the sun your skin isn’t going brown – it’s going pink and rosy. So find a bronzer that’s pink based and a little rosy to create a natural, flushed look.

To avoid a heavy or streaky look blend the bronzer in with some moisturiser and apply all over the face for an all over glow. 3. Dark –
Apricot toned bronzer is universally flattering on any skin tone. The apricot acts as a colour corrector, hiding all the blue/grey tones in the skin.

5. Reddish Undertones –

6. More definition –

This is possibly the only case where a cream is easier to work with. A tip for applying a Chubby Stick or a cream bronzer is to warm it up with your fingers first – don’t apply it straight to your face as it may streak. This is really good for adding a bit of extra definition, as long as the cream is sheer and build-able it won’t muddy.
