Dermalogica is never far from the media spotlight, and earlier this month Founder Jane Wurwand was acknowledged at the Step Up Woman’s Network’s 8th annual inspiration awards.
 Jane brought an audience of more than seven hundred women to their feet as she accepted an award presented at the awards night, which was held at the Beverly Hilton on June 10. The global skin care brand was awarded the honor in recognition of its philanthropic efforts in supporting women in its 25 year history and for launching its new global program called join FITE, which aims to help 25,000 women to start or grow a business.

What is the Step Up Woman’s Network?

Jane has gone from sweeping floors in a small salon in the UK to being the owner of the company that holds the number one position in professional skincare in the world. After Opening institutes in 1983 the Dermalogica brand has gone from strength to strength.

Janes says: “The thing I’m most proud of accomplishing with Dermalogica is that we have put so many women (who own salons and carry the Dermalogica product line) into a position where they can be financially secure doing what they love. When I travel, women come up to me, whether in it’s in Helsinki or Ho Chi Minh City and say, ‘I never thought I could be in this position – you’ve made it possible.’ And I say, ‘No, you have made it possible.
