Tears for Heath

The GQ Man of the year awards were held last night at Sydney’s Ivy bar. Reports from the Sydney shindig suggest that Heath’s dad broke down in tears as he accepted the award on behalf of his late son. Heath’s dad accepted the award on behalf of his “beautiful boy” and dedicated it to his sons daughter Matilda.

Hugh Jackman took out the Volvo Peoples Choice Award for man of the year.

Fourty awards were presented on the night including designer of the year for Arthur Galen and a lifetime achievement award for Bert Newton.
