Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.

I started using this 2-3 times a week 9 months ago as a dip my toe into the pool of AHAs and acids. My skin was dry and dull at the time and I had a lot of texture on my cheeks and on my forehead. over the next three months all of that texture disappeared, now my skin feels soft, its hydrated, its smooth, it has a great texture. I really believe introducing this into my skin care regime was the best thing i have done. There are more expensive AHAs out there, but honestly, i'm so happy with the improvement in my skin and skin texture over the past 9 months that I'm happy to keep repurchasing this. I use it 2-3 nights a week, after cleansing, before moisturising. I do not use it on the same nights that i use a retinol or a Vitamin C and I've had no problems or allergic reactions.
This is a nice Gentle exfoliater. I even mix a dropper to my body cream and love the results..
Fantastic product for acne prone skin and anti ageing. Very gentle yet effective on the skin.
This product is one of the best amongst The Ordinary line. It is easy to apply, can be used daily & the results appear rapidly. I started to notice a drastic change in the texture & tone of my skin within four days of use. Also the price point is unbelievable as this product easily competes with much more expensive AHA BHA products. I highly recommend.
This product caused my skin to breakout. I had a few spots after using this. But surprisingly it didn't stay long compare to other breakouts I had in the past. Even though my skin did breakout and it looked like it was having an adverse effect, I noticed it's looking brighter and the completion is more even. After my skin cleared I started using it again, just a tiny bit, but now instead of large spots, it's causing tiny little spots. I think the 10% is too high to start of with. I would recommend the 5% first.
