Hottest Hairstyles of Autumn

Hairstyle fashions come and go but this season we wanted to see what look you were really wearing. The truth is, we don’t have time to recreate the looks seen on the catwalks of Milan, Paris and Rome so although the Gold Coast is not famous for being a fashion mecca, we visited trendy Robina Town Centre and interviewed three lovely young ladies about their hairstyles.
None of the models featured had any prior warning that the team from RY.com.au were about to show up, so their looks have not been styled by a professional stylist. We are pleased to report that all  three  of  the stunning models looked gorgeous and would not have looked out of place on any international catwalk.
Hair is turning in a new direction this season. While some of the looks require hard effort, others are just simple ways to make your hair look more sophisticated and fresh.

THE ‘DONUT’ BUN

The donut bun is a classic hairstyle that is so this season and so last season, and most probably next season as well.
If you don’t like straightening or curling your hair, or just simply don’t have time, the donut bun is a simple way to style your hair that leaves you looking trendy and fresh. You will be surprised with how easy this hairstyle is to achieve and just how little effort goes into it. Grab some dry shampoo, tidy up your hair and you will be done in no time!

Ever wondered how people get the perfect donut? Below are four easy steps to achieve the perfect look:

Step 1: Put your hair in a ponytail. If you’re aiming high or low, keep in mind that
where you put your ponytail is where your bun will sit.
Step 2: Thread your ponytail through the middle of the hair donut.
Step 3: Start smoothing the ponytail around the hair donut so you are starting to
cover all of the sponge; use your hand to smooth the hair evenly.
Step 4: When you get the hang of it you’ll find your hair is starting to tuck under
the bun. To secure, use bobby pins.

The FRINGE is back!

Make an instant statement with a stylish and trendy fringe! Whether you love
the full flat fringe, side-swept fringe or the peek-a-boo look, fringes are a simple
style to make you stand out from the crowd. The fringe is neither in fashion or out of fashion,
you either have one or you don’t. It doesn’t matter what the fashion is, the fringe is here to stay.
A fringe is best worn sweeping off the sides of your face, thick and long. There is no doubt about it, the fringe can be messy and played around with; anyone can create their own fashion trend with this nifty style!

Kylie’s fringe looks extra stylish as she has blended the fringe in with the
most talked about hairstyle, ‘belayage’ or ‘ombre’. Belayage is a natural looking
colour technique where the hair is darker at the roots then blends into an ultra-
natural lighter colour. This look creates a fun and sexy style and is one of the
HOTTEST looks this autumn.

Kylie Lakay from Queensland is keen on pop music and is obsessed with the Rhainna film clip In Love.

THE CONCAVE CUT

The bob haircut that was made iconic by Vidal Sassoon came bursting back into fashion in recent years with celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Rihanna rocking the concave version of the style. Although it’s been around for a few years, it’s still one of the hottest styles this season! This concave cut is often referred to as a type of ‘bob’ and can also be known as the inverted bob, the A-line bob or the wedge bob.

Kylie achieved this look by using L’Oreal’s product, ‘Playball.’
