Cheap shampoo Vs Salon Brands

If I’ve learnt anything in the past 3 months, it’s that one of the perks to working at the is reviewing products. I’m a fairly new edition to the team at RY, having only been here since the beginning of March. However, I’ve already I’ve been sucked into the beautiful world of hair care and skin care. I’m embarrassed to say, three months ago you would find me pacing up and down the shampoo section at the drug store searching for a shampoo and conditioner on special offer. Considering my hairs has been straightened, coloured, stressed and treated with cheap shampoo – it’s not in bad condition. Needless to say, it was about time I used something more caring on my strands. I’ve been using Juuce Ultimate Blonde shampoo and conditioner for the past two weeks and felt the difference immediately.

Juuce ultimate blonde conditioner is a cream moisturising conditioner with extra toning to reduce gold tones for pure blonde hair. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t mildly surprised to see luminous blue gunk come flying out the bottle onto my hand whilst I was in the shower. When you have very light blonde hair like me, it’s always a little concerning putting a product with a bold pigment in your hair, but as I knew the colour of blonde dye I proceeded to slap it on anyway and trusted the bottle.

I was impressed with the small amount of product I had to use to get results. Every time I wash my hair without conditioner it mattes together and is impossible to brush, so I’ve recently been using handfuls of conditioner in my hair before my hands can glide through without getting stuck. However, I used such a small amount of this conditioner and instantly my hair felt luxurious and soft. I recently went on holiday and packed this to come with me, after all the UV protection was perfect in 30 degree heat. My friend sheepishly explained that she forgot to bring her own shampoo and conditioner and had been using mine, pleading that she only used to smallest amount because ‘it looked expensive’ she too was convinced.

It’s safe to say, I’ve been converted – these initial ‘expensive’ shampoo and conditioners are actually great value. Granted, I could spend $6 on a cheap shampoo but I’d have to use half of the bottle to get even close to the results Juuce gave my locks. On shelves at $17.81, what am I calling expensive? I recommend this to women across Australia who have the same shopping process as I used to.
