I've heard of the brand Clarins before but never really paid attention to it because I didn't know much about the brand and haven't read many reviews on much of their products. I've seen their counters at the department stores Myer/David Jones and I thought it was only skincare they had, not beauty products. Little did I know...
What Clarins say about this lipstick range:An unrivalled formula that delivers long-lasting lip colour, shine and hold that lasts for hours. High Fidelity Pearl technology ensures that colour and shine stay true for hours while this creamy, rich texture provides nourishing skin care benefits to lips. Clarins Rouge Prodige comes in a wide range of colours to choose from to create your own glamorous look.
There are such a wide variety of colours! It comes in 30 shades and the shade I have today is 105 - Peach Sorbet.
Encapsulated in a sleek gold tube with a square bottom base, the packaging is very nice and can store easily.
I felt that, with my camera, under sunlight gave the truest representation of colour in real life. It's a peachy coral that's just shy of being too orange but it's not pink. I like to call it, "my-lips-but-better" colour.
True to its description, it's creamy and rich, has amazing shine and glides on very smoothly. It has no shimmer and a beautiful creamy finish.
In terms of pigmentation, you can almost probably get a nice colour with one single swipe with a little pressure but it is buildable. You can probably even pull this colour as a nude lipstick, if you wanted to. As I said, it's "my-lips-but-better" :)
Overall, I'm really glad I got to try a Clarins lipstick because I believe the quality of it is really good! I'm really liking this shade because it's such an easy everyday colour to wear, and suitable for any occasion. I'm definitely putting this lipstick in my good books, and I'm keen to try out other colours too.
