The slick do is a trend we didn’t see coming but with it’s recent presence at fashion shows around the world, it’s definitely a trend that’s here to stay!
Perhaps the first words that come to mind when you hear about slick hair are….. greasy, slimy, shower? Well we are here to convert you!
It doesn’t have to look as though you’ve gone without washing your hair for two weeks, there are a number of ways to make this look work for you!
The dramatic centre part
This look is so simple to do and can add drama to any look!
After washing your hair, create a precise centre part and blow dry.
Apply Joico Joigel Medium Styling Gel 04 from your scalp’s midpoint downwards and either leave your tips au natural or for that extra kick, add some texture to your
ends using our De Lorenzo Elements Ocean Mist Sea Salt Styling Spray!
Simply Slicked-back
Another really easy style that can add edge to an elegant look.
After washing your hair, blow dry your hair back so it dries the direction it needs to go.
Brush your hair back and apply Wella Professional Dry Styling Sculpt Force Flubber Gel with your hands, massage the product through your hair pushing your hair back then combing.
Continue this process until you are happy with how it is sitting. Finish with a spray of Label M Extreme Hold Hairspray to keep it in place.
If you want that extra slick, simply straighten the ends.
Tip: This look also looks great in a pony tail!
Sever Side Part Bun
Part your hair to the left or right (depending on which suits your face better). This needs to be dramatic so don’t be scared to part far over to one side.
Slick down those locks (remember, your hair isn’t used to this part so it will take a bit of gel and spray).
We recommend using a strong hold gel such as the Evo Gangsta Bonding Resin. Tie your hair into a low bun and secure.
Finish with a spritz of Juuce Fix N Shine.
