Do You Want a Hank or a Bruce?

Before you get carried away fantasising about your perfect Frank or Bruce f*ck boi, I am of course talking about the range of brushes from evo haircare (duh!) that HAPPEN to be named after men. The whole evo range really embodies funky, quirky naming and descriptions of all their products – so why should the brushes be any different? If you want to know the difference between a Hank or a Bruce, or any of the other great brushes – keep reading below!

A Hank or a Bruce?

The Difference between the Evo Brushes

Hank –

The Hank

Hank is a ceramic radial brush available in a range of sizes. Hank is perfect for blow drying – he has small holes in the barrel to allow air to circulate as you dry which creates more volume. The metal barrel is coated in ceramic to speed up drying time, while heat resistant nylon bristles help reduce frizz. Hank is perfect for the girl who wants some extra bounce, particularly those with thick, curly/ wavy hair.

For smooth, straight hair; blast hair until its 80% dry then working with small to medium sections, place Hank at the roots and apply heat from your hair dryer at the barrel. Keep the tension as you move Hank through the hair, directing heat at his barrel as you go.

For maximum volume; work with medium sections, place Hank at the roots and apply heat from a hair dryer as you lift the hair, pulling the brush from roots to tips. Keep the tension as you move Hank through the hair, directing heat at his barrel as you go.

Bruce

Bruce

Bruce is a radial brush made with natural bristles. Also made for ease of blow drying, Bruce will also help distribute natural hair oils through longer hair while polishing your hair nice and smooth. Made with natural boar bristles to stimulate the scalp, reduce frizz and add shine, Bruce is perfect for a girl with thick, wavy/ curly hair that want smooth and shiny hair. Use the same way you’d use Hank but worse (kidding!).

Pete –

Pete

Pete can be considered your all rounder. He is multi-purpose with natural rubber, soft cushion pad for gentle styling and ball-tipped, high heat-resistant ionic pins that help reduce frizz in all hair but can particularly help with detangling. Use Pete to detangle, straighten (without volume), or smooth hair when creating up-dos. Pete can be used on all hair types, but medium to long haired girls – he’s looking at you.

For a thorough blow dry, blast hair until its 80% dry. Brush the hair in a downward motion from root to tip, while applying heat from a hair dryer. Use a hair dryer with a nozzle to concentrate the air flow, providing a smoother finish

For a quick blow-dry, work with large sections and place Pete flat at the roots and turn him while you apply heat from a hair dryer.

Bradford –

Bradford

Bradford is your well dressed chap that did not come to mess around. Dress your hair up with Bradford’s natural boar bristles to stimulate the scalp, reduce frizz and add shine and natural rubber, soft cushion pad. Like Bruce he will help distribute natural oils through the hair but also helps with your hairs overall condition – especially long or thick hair.

For best results from Bradford, blast hair until 100% dry, then gently detangle with a wide tooth comb. Working with medium sections, place Bradford at the roots and sweep him through to the very end, baby.

Conrad –

Conrad

Bradford and Conrad went to the same high school and hung out in the same crowd but Conrad swings both ways (if you know what I mean). Use Conrad in your daily grooming routine, or in your man’s daily grooming routine!

All evo brushes have handles made from fsc certified, sustainably grown hardwood gathered from well managed forests so you’re not leaving any heavy environmental footprint.
