MUA Stacey Banfield Reviews BECCA

Beautiful NZ Beauty blogger and MUA Stacey Banfield was lovely enough to review some of our BECCA products. 2015 has really been BECCA’s year, what with the surge of the strobing trend and Shimmering Skin Perfectors being the absolute holy grail. Combine that with the buzz around Jaclyn Hills Champagne Pop that sold out in MINUTES and you know BECCA is just one of those brands you have to try before you DIE (literally and figuratively).

All About That Face – BECCA Cosmetics

Becca Cosmetics is a brand that has been taking the beauty world by a storm as of late. It’s collaborations with beauty icons such as Youtuber Jaclyn Hill, that saw her product “Champagne Pop” flying off shelves left, right and centre but don’t be fooled this isn’t their only hidden gem. Thanks to Ry.com.au I have been fortunate to expand my Becca Cosmetics collection, and try some more of their range.

Already being a huge fan of their liquid and pressed powder highlights, I was excited at the sight of a few goodies that have since changed my makeup game. Mon-fri I like to keep my look clean and simple, I’m all about a good base and Becca’s Ever Matte Primer has really ensured that my base stays put all day. This product some may find a little weird to apply.Just because the texture of it does comes out hard (think the likes of Coconut oil), but once you warm it up within your hands it liquefies enough for you to apply it easily and smoothly onto the skin.

This primer is best for those with more of a combination/oily skin, it honestly keeps the shine away so well even after the first time I wore it I was extremely impressed.. A little really does go a long way with this, so be mindful not to get too product happy, if you are super oily really focus the product in on your T-zone area it makes a huge difference.

The next product that has pretty much completed my life at the moment is the Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme foundation. Although this is a little light for me colour wise, the coverage and quality is freaking bomb! I have been a lover of MAC Studio Fix Fluid for years but this now takes the cake, plus I am loving the price tag.  I absolutely adore the fact that although this is a super full coverage product,  it doesn’t look heavy and feels so nice to wear, plus the flawless finish will blow your mind – no filters needed literally!

As I’ve already mentioned, Becca Highlighting Powder’s and liquids are a must have in my books especially the shade “Opal”. This is a shade great for majority of skin tones and looks absolutely stunning to finish off your look, but I have also been really digging the “Limited Edition” shade “Blushed Copper. This little babe comes complete in Rose Gold packaging and is to die for. At first I thought this shade may have been a little too warm for me, but when applied with a fan brush it looks amazing.

I love being able to warm up my look with this shade, from adding a touch to my cheekbones and temple area, I even have been gently sweeping a wash of it across my lids. Doing this gives you such a nice bronzed look without being too heavy and over the top. These are so smooth in texture you also don’t need to worry about any chunky glittery bits sitting on your skin, honestly once you try any of the Skin Perfector’s you will be hooked – that’s a promise.

A product new to me from Becca is the Mineral Blushes. I picked up the shade in “Wild Honey” and it’s a perfect peach tone for everyday wear, which will also look great against most skin tones. This longwearing mineral contains a hint of highlight to lift the complexion as it’s applied, and has a formula designed to never appear cakey or chalky. The colour pay off is just enough to give you a flush of colour, but can be built up for a bolder more defined look. These currently retail for $40AUD at www.ry.com.au which I think is super affordable for a really decent sized product.

Becca is definitely a brand I suggest you all check out. The products I have tried so far are all so impressive, I am hooked and cannot wait to suss out what will be next on my hit list. Ry.com.au have got you covered from Becca Cosmetics to a huge range of other fantastic brands, need I mention they are often having discounts so you can pick up your faves for less than the normal retail price – Christmas is fast approaching just to throw that idea out there *hint hint!

I will be creating a look using all the Becca products mentioned above, so make sure you keep an eye out on my Instagram account @staceybmuax for that.

Thanks Stacey. It’s good to hear you’re loving BECCA just as much as we are.
